Everyday I meet people who are not living or doing what they are truly passionate about. They do motions of live but never experience the emotions of life. Emotions like joy, happiness, love, passion, or excitement. They live day to day and every once in awhile take a vacation to get recharged. Is that really living? Is it possible to change your life and experience passion? I believe you can. It begins with a decision, a decision to make changes that move you to where you want to be or your goals and dreams. To understand why our life is the way it is, we must understand that we are where we are because of the decisions we have made up to this point in life. So, it would be fair to say if we are not happy with where we are in our life and would like to change our life we need to make different decisions in our life. Did you know that most decisions are made in a reactive state? That means most people don't make a decision until they are forced to or until a situation demands us to. We live in reaction mode rather than in a proactive mode. Proactive meaning you have plan for things and know what you are going to and are prepared for the outcome. Then their are those who live in an inactive mode. They never seem to make any decisions or if they do it's far to late. So ask your self this question, how do you make most of your decisions in life?
Are you
Reactive
Proactive
or Inactive
If you live in reactive mode your focus must change so that you are more proactive in your life. This take us away from being victims of what happens to us and places us in a position of control over what we are going to do about what happens in life. It is exactly this shift in thought that become the goal. When we don't allow circumstance to dictate decision we make better decisions. The way we accomplish this is simple we plan, set goals and map out our strategies then stick to them or stay the course. We cannot plan for everything but we can be better perpared when we have a plan for our future.
